New York – Times Square is one of the maternal homes of bright lights and entertainment, it wont come as any surprise to see the vast amount of standard lighting has now been converted to high efficiency, low energy LED Lamps and LED Lights.

Car Showrooms pull in the punters using LED Lighting

When selling vehicles it is apparant that more and more car showrooms are using LED Lighting to their advantage, from the illumination of BMW signage using LED Block modules in showrooms in London to the neon led tubes used at mercedes in manchester. LED Lights produce a bright low cost eco friendly solution to the traditional non design friendly incandescent bulb. LED’s can be bunched together in rope like material and wound around signage to produce startling effects.

Inside car show rooms you see LED being used in ticker tape style LED boards showing the latest offers, they are using in the accent lighting cast from walls, ceilings and floors onto the cars, they are used in the cars for headlights (BMW) and inside for illuminating dash boards and courtesy lighting.

All in all LED is here to stay and as more diverse uses are found it will grow in popularity among car showrooms, many car showrooms will convert their traditional lighting to LED Lighting if not to save costs then to provide the customer with a much more modern and contemporary shopping experience.

Shopping centres use led lights to full effect

Across the UK and the US there are thousands of shopping centres and shopping malls, each containing hundreds of large chain retailers and smaller independants all trying to grab your attention.

The use of external signage and lighting has always been the best way to attract potential customers to visit your store. For a long time external signage has been dominated by the neon tube and its flourescent cousin, these two products have seen a vast amount of uses from bars and cafes to commercial and industrial signage both inside and outside buildings.

Time are changing and now the shift is toward more eco friendly led lighting, this can be seen in the following example where MOM the grocer based in the US has converted all its stores to LED Lighting, you can read more here:

Other supermarket chains with shopping centre outlets such as Wallmart / Asda in the UK have also been involved in incentives in the past such as this one listed below to swap old bulb style christmas lights to newer led lights.

Swimming Pool LED Lights

Everyone wants and dreams of having their own swimming pool in their home, most of us simply don’t have a home big enough or the cash available, but for those that do their is an abundance of lighting solutions available that can maximise the ambiance of that dream pool.

LED Lighting can be used in swimming pools both inside the pool and outside. Outside the pool it can be used to illuminate the edges of the pool utilising Rebel LED or exterior led strip lighting, it can also be used above the pool in recessed ceiling areas to provide a wonderful effect. Add into the mix colour changing led lights and red led lights and you can create a true chillout zone.

Inside the pool special IP rated led lights can be used to illuminate the water and provide unique effects due to the directed light nature of led lights.

LED Lighting in restaurants

Have you ever looked around you whilst sat in a restaurant having a meal, chances are you havent noticed the abundance of LED Lamp based solutions that have been used around the restaurant.

We recently installed new LED Strip lighting at a well known ‘lovin it’ chain, the strip lighting was used around the counter close to the kick boards, weve come up with a list of other places you can check yourselves, you will probably be surprised how popular led lighting is…

Walkways and corridors – more often restaurants are using single led lamps housed in chrome holders using greens and blues to light the way.

Room lighting – LED Downlights used here quite often and some fast food chain use Fluorescent Tube LED Replacements.
Wall lighting - look at the bulbs used to light pictures, these are usually left on all day – hey presto LED again.

Toilets – lighting around mirrors, safety signs and cubicles. Lighting the water out of the taps.

Signage to the outside – This is a tricky one to see but back lighting is often led now.

Scene lighting – LED lights lighting up that nice looking sparkling tree.. and again led lights giving that star ceiling effect.

LED Lighting replaces standard bulbs

Prestigious boat builders Jeanneau / Beneteau have started using LED Down lights on the interior of their 34ft yacht the 33i sun odyssey, the 2012 model which is now in a brown trim rather than blue boasts the new style lighting which allows for setting the mood as the individual LED Lights can be switched on or off independantly or as part of a group.

Many vehicle manufacturers of cars, vans, boats, trains and planes have adopted led lighting as the benefits are enormous, huge energy savings and longer life led lamps. Here we see the 33i yacht and its internal LED Downlights.

LED Lighting is versatile, it can be used in any situation, both commercial and personal, both outdoor and indoor, but one of its hidden features is its versatility, LED Lights can be placed together on strips to create strip lighting, this can contain different colours of LED to produce a specific mood.

Down lighters and up lighters can be used to cast lighting effects in offices and restaturants to help set the mood.

Outdoor lighting using LED can be used to provide clear ultra white lighting for motorists but dulled yellow mood lighting for pedestrians.

LED in the home is used to power childrens LED Night lights to allow for a small amount of comfort light in the night,

LED Lights provide a mood even on your router by being behind cut out sections which are illuminated to display wireless symbols in blue, red green and amber,

All in all when it comes to setting the mood, LED is king!

LED Lighting at the 2012 Olympic games

Already the countdown has begun to the 2012 olympic games and we have been watching from a lighting point of view, it looks like LED Lights are going to have some really unique and creative uses at the games. We have begun to monitor and check what innovative LED Lighting ideas are out there, here are a few of the uses of LED Lighting at the Olympics we have found:

Tower bridge : This is to have a lighting upgrade and be lit using LED Lighting rather than traditional floodlights to bring out the gothic architecture, EDF are to supply the green energy to power this upgrade, we think the effect will be outstanding and wouldnt be surprised if our rebel led range or our external led strip lighting was to be used here. The tree of light: This project which begun in June 2011 is to conclude with a large scale event in 2012 at the olympics, it involves a sculptured 80 foot high tree created by local communities and LED Lighting powered by rowers at the games.

Handball Arena: Artist Monica Bonvicini has designed a unique piece of art for the handball arena lit by led lighting and made from glass, the internal led strip lighting is similar to that which we stock.

Much more uses of LED Lighting can be looked up such as powering the internal lighting at stadias, lighting the sport cities and even at a more consumer focused view such as led lighting in counter displays.

For maximum impact and effect we recommend internal led strip lighting, ideally suited to illuminating troughs at the top of walls.

General Office Space Lighting

We recommend the use of our LED Lamp range that can be used for led downlighting. These offer low running costs, low heat and low maintenance making them ideal for the job, we also can provide from our led rebel range a fluorescent tube led replacement.

Exterior Effect Lighting

Most high street banks have well known brand names, to emphasise these brands big banks like to portray a bold image.

When image is everything LED Lighting must always be considered, using LED Strip Lights or external LED Blocks a good effect can be achieved.

A truly wonderful effect can be achieved using the highly effective neoled tube which is part of the Rebel LED Range. This can be seen here being used to good effect:
